Brazil condemns Israeli attack that killed 93 in Gaza

Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Relations condemned Israel’s bombing of a residential building in Beit Lahia, in the Gaza Strip, which left at least 93 dead on Tuesday (Oct. 29), including dozens of children, according to the latest updates.
“Brazil expresses concern about the imposition of obstacles to the entry of humanitarian aid into the northern Gaza Strip and the evacuation orders issued by Israeli forces to the population in the region—an action that threatens to provoke a new forced displacement of thousands of civilians,” a statement issued Wednesday (30), the day after the attack, reads.
Since the beginning of the month, Israeli military forces have intensified their actions in the north of the Gaza Strip, bombing civilian homes and infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and shelters. More than 350 people have been killed in the last two weeks, local authorities said. The stated aim is to combat Hamas, which has allegedly regrouped in the region.
“Brazil reiterates its call for a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, which includes the release of all hostages and the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” the note says.
While it continues its attacks on Gaza, Israel continues its military incursions into Lebanon, with thousands of civilian victims, as well as attacks on Iranian military targets, amid escalating tensions between the two countries.
