Rousseff confirms trip to Paris, but cancels visit to Vietnam and Japan

Brasília - President Dilma Rousseff has canceled the next week trips to Vietnam and Japan.
Amid political crisis, President Dilma Rousseff has canceled the next week trips to Vietnam and Japan. But she confirmed the trip to Paris to attend the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. On the new schedule, the president is expected to board on Friday night to Paris, where she stays until Monday (Nov. 30), when she will return to Brazil.
In her previous travel plan, she would visit Vietnam on Tuesday (Dec. 1st) and Wednesday (Dec. 2) to meet executives. Then she would follow to Japan, where among other appointments, she would discuss reopening Brazilian processing beef market, which has been closed by the Japanese since 2012.
It is the second time Rousseff cancels a trip to Japan. In 2013, the president canceled the trip because of the protests that took the country's streets that year.
The prison of Delcídio do Amaral, government's leader in Senate, on Wednesday (Nov. 25) has paralyzed the work in Congress and compromised important votes for the presidency, including the voting on the bill to adjust fiscal target to allow the government to post almost $120 billion deficit at the end the year.
Rousseff also needs to appoint a new government's leader in Senate.
